If you are a local client, we accept cash or check, as well as all payment options available to Internet customers.
If you are an Internet customer, we only accept money order (please arrange with us beforehand) or Paypal. We only accept Paypal as an instant-payment method because:
- Paypal’s safety and security features protect both you and Rhombic Networks.
- It allows you easily pay for items with bank account funds, as well as by credit card.
- With Paypal, none of your financial information is kept in our databases. Your financial information is protected against theft, unauthorized charges, and surcharges, thanks to Paypal’s superb security record.
Rhombic Networks accepts payment in United States dollars only. We are a verified Paypal merchant.
In order to combat fraud, we may require potential customers to have a verified Paypal account or some form of scanned or faxed government-issued ID. We do this to protect our customers (or rather, those who aren’t our customers) and ourselves.

Our anti-spam countermeasures can be divided into two types: pre-acceptance and post-acceptance. Pre-acceptance methods are used before our systems accept an e-mail—if the check fails, you do not receive the e-mail. Post-acceptance methods are used after a system accepts an e-mail—if the check fails, it will be marked as spam and placed into your inbox’s “Spam” folder.
The pre-acceptance methods we use include:
- realtime blackhole lists
- greylisting
- SPF DNS record checks
For post-acceptance spam filtering, we use SpamAssassin and Bogofilter.
If you are only forwarding mail to an e-mail account hosted elsewhere from Rhombic Networks, e-mail will only go through pre-acceptance checks. If your mail arrives to a Rhombic Networks-hosted Inbox, it will also go through post-acceptance checking.
Why do you not offer "unlimited" or "free" bandwidth?

Several web hosting companies on the Internet offer “unlimited” or “free” bandwidth—Rhombic Networks is not one of them. Many things on the Internet but free, but the quality bandwidth that we provide is unfortunately not.
Read the fine print (if it exists) next time you see one of these offers, and you will always find a condition or stipulation. If you go over what they feel is too much, your site will get shutdown. Rhombic Networks does not base its network decisions on “feelings.”
